Write a Letter

We are asking supporters of sustainability, local agriculture, and smart waste solutions to submit letters of support to the Frederick County Board of Appeals and, if possible, attend the critical hearing on June 26, 2025.

For your convenience, you can use the form on this page to easily submit a letter, or you may choose to send your letter directly by mail or email using the addresses provided here.

Letters from residents, environmental advocates, farmers, businesses, and institutions are essential to help the Board of Appeals understand the importance of composting as an environmental solution to food waste in Frederick County and to reaffirm Compost Crew’s use of the Utica Bridge Farms property as a community-serving professional compost operation.

Without strong public support, this essential local composting service could be severely limited, or shut down entirely.
